Who is Eligible for Membership?

Members of the IAPTAP are the national professional organisations representing physical therapists with an interest in animal physical therapy.

Animal physical therapy special interest groups/sections/divisions wishing to apply for IAPTAP membership must satisfy the following criteria:-

  1. The Animal physical therapy special interest group/section/division must be a recognised sub-section of a parent national physical therapy association who is a member of the World Confederation for Physical Therapy (WCPT).

  2. The WCPT Member organisation itself can also be a member of IAPTAP. This is appropriate in cases where the members interested in animal health are not yet organised into an officially recognised subgroup.

  3. Individual members of the animal practice sub-section must also be members of the parent national physical therapy association.

  4. Only one organisation per country shall be eligible for membership.

Individual physical therapists who are members of a WCPT member organisation that does not have a recognised animal practice special interest group/section/division are eligible to join as an Associate member.

Membership Fees:

Full Member:

Animal Physical Therapy special interest group/section/division eligible for full membership of IAPTAP are those that are a recognised Animal Physical Therapy sub-section of a parent national physical therapy organisation WCPT member in good standing.

The IAPTAP subscription fee for full membership is determined by the number of individual members registered with the Animal Physiotherapy organisation.

 

The fee is determined as follows:

An administration fee of 50euro

An additional 1euro per person (member) of the Member Organisation

Associate Member

Animal Physical Therapy associations eligible for associate membership are those which are part of a WCPT Member organisation, but which do not currently have an established animal practice sub section in place, but wish to achieve full membership in the future.

or

Individual physical therapists who are members of a WCPT member organisation that does not have a recognised animal practice special interest group/section/division.

Cost: An annual fee of 100 Euro

WCPT Member organisation in countries where the latest figures published by the World Bank (http://data.worldbank.org/data-catalog/GNI-per-capita-Atlas-and-PPP-table) indicate the GNI per capita is less than US$3,000 are eligible to pay 50% of the IAPTAP subscription fee.
