Members of the IAPTAP are the national professional organisations representing physical therapists with an interest in animal physical therapy.​Animal physical therapy special interest groups/sections/divisions wishing to apply for IAPTAP membership must satisfy the following criteria:

 

The Animal physical therapy special interest group/section/division must be a recognised sub-section of a parent national physical therapy association who is a member of the World Confederation for Physical Therapy (WCPT).

 

The WCPT Member organisation itself can also be a member of IAPTAP. This is appropriate in cases where the members interested in animal health are not yet organised into an officially recognised subgroup.

 

Individual members of the animal practice sub-section must also be members of the parent national physical therapy association.

 

Only one organisation per country shall be eligible for membership.
